You’re not alone and we’re here to guide and assist.

From preparing newspaper notices, social media posts, and online obituaries, we can help prepare and manage news about funeral arrangements and immediate next steps. These can be as private or public as you want.

We’ve also got resources to assist with notifications for the wider administrative activity necessary to close accounts or transfer assets and other responsibilities.

Frequently asked questions

How can we prepare an obituary?

When we meet, we can explore your preferred wording for an obituary which can be published on our website, Facebook pages, for a card in our branch window and traditional newspaper notices. We can book and coordinate these for you including collate the messages left for you to reflect at a later date.

What should I wear?

If you’re attending a funeral, read the guidance in an obituary or newspaper notices which may set out recommended dress codes such as a particular colour or branding. In the absence of specific instructions, our recommendation is to dress slightly more formally than you would normally. Black is still considered funeral appropriate but increasingly, darker shades of other colours are just as acceptable. Read our ‘What to wear to a funeral’ guide.
